A driver’s challenge

The journey kicks off in Windhoek, Namibia’s capital, with a day to acclimatise before being introduced to your Porsche. Whether you prefer air-cooled or water-cooled sportscars, or the rugged versatility of a Cayenne, each vehicle has been expertly equipped to handle the demands of the desert and bush. You can even bring your own Porsche, subject to approval by KALMAR’s technical team. What follows is 2,700 kilometres of adventure over eight days, an epic voyage through Namibia’s spellbinding terrain and thriving wildlife regions.

The route sweeps down from the Highlands to the vast, red dunes of the Kalahari Desert, some towering over 300 meters, where you’ll encounter raw isolation under the endless African sky. After a stop to explore the Namib-Naukluft National Park, the convoy heads west toward the sea, driving across gravel and tarmac to reach the Walvis Bay lagoon, just in time for the real challenge to begin.

From there, it’s north along the Skeleton Coast, with your Porsche now cloaked in desert dust. You’ll test your driving skill against soft Atlantic sands, then cut inland again for game-rich terrain and up-close wildlife encounters. The destination? A luxury lodge nestled in the iconic Etosha National Park.

The next two days bring the safari experience to life. While others spot wildlife from the back of a Land Rover, you’ll explore Etosha from behind the wheel of your Porsche, guided by experienced park rangers. You’ll probably attract as much attention from other guests as the rare wildlife itself. Then, after eight unforgettable days, the adventure returns to its starting point, Omaanda Lodge, a fitting end to what is truly the ultimate Porsche adventure.
